Main text of the Privacy Policy

I. Types of information collected

To enable you to use Xinruishi’s products and/or services, we may directly or indirectly collect, store, and use personal information relating to you, including: for essential business functions, if you do not provide the relevant information, you will not be able to use the corresponding essential functions normally; for value-added or additional features, if you decline to provide the relevant information, you may not be able to use those features or they may not achieve their intended effect, but you may still use our products normally.

If you disable the corresponding permission, you are deemed to have withdrawn such consent; we will then no longer collect or use the corresponding personal information, and will be unable to continue providing the corresponding service. Disabling permissions does not affect the validity of our collection and use of personal information that was based on your prior consent. Business functions and information collection:

1. When you create an account, or download or update software, you may need to provide personal information such as your phone number and email address.

2. When you synchronize smart device data, your image data is transmitted directly from the smart device to your mobile device, or forwarded via Xinruishi’s servers to your mobile device. Data forwarded through our servers is cached only for the purpose of forwarding and is deleted immediately after it reaches your mobile device.

3. When you use a device to share content with other users or send messages, we may collect information you provide about those users, including email addresses and phone numbers.

4. When you use certain services to interact with other users, data transmitted by other users may be forwarded through our servers to your mobile device. Such data is cached only for forwarding and is deleted immediately after it reaches your mobile device.

5. When you log in to your account, your mobile subscriber identification information, phone number, and approximate location information may be sent to our servers. Such collection may also apply when you update the system or software, restore factory settings, or similar operations.

6. We may collect information such as language, serial number, product ID, country and time zone where the device is used, location, device software platform, and hardware information.

7. Information collected via cookies and similar technologies: our applications may use cookies and technologies such as program language tags to collect and store your information.

II. How we collect, process, and use the information

1. We will strictly comply with applicable laws and regulations and process and use your information in accordance with this Policy and its updates, for the purposes and scope stated at the time of collection and with your consent. For any other use, we will obtain your consent in advance.

2. Information collected may be used to provide services to you, perform agreements between you and us, and ensure the proper functioning of our services, including verifying your identity (including sending verification codes by SMS or email), and preventing fraud or other improper use.

3. Information collected may be used to communicate with you, for example to notify you of service updates.

4. Hardware identifiers and location information of your smart devices may be used to activate your warranty services and specific software licenses. We may also use such information to improve our services and analyze operational efficiency. We will not use such information to track your location in a continuous manner.

5. Information such as language and time zone of use helps us better understand user behavior and improve our services.

6. Information collected through cookies and other technologies is used to improve your user experience and the overall quality of our services.

7. We will collect and use your information only for the purposes stated in this Policy:

(1) Scanning device QR codes: we need the camera permission to scan codes to add devices; if you refuse, the camera cannot be opened for QR scanning.

(2) Wi-Fi related information: when the app starts, we may request location permission to determine whether the phone’s current Wi-Fi is the device hotspot, to support direct hotspot connection.

(3) Clipboard: when you share a device via “copy link,” the share link is placed on the clipboard for pasting to social media; when another user opens the app via the link, the app may read clipboard content to jump to the device sharing screen.

(4) Installed applications and running process information: we may check whether certain apps are installed to support third-party login and related features; for push notifications that deep-link into specific screens, we may read running process information as needed to confirm whether navigation is possible.

(5) Photos and videos in the album: after connecting a device, you may capture screenshots or recordings; images and videos are saved to the album and may be shared to social platforms. If you choose to share, such content may be uploaded to third-party platforms’ servers; if you do not share, it will not be uploaded to third-party services.

(6) Location permission: used to obtain the list of Wi-Fi networks at your location so that smart hardware can connect to the Wi-Fi network you select.

(7) Phone permission: the app provides a cloud storage customer hotline; you may tap a phone number to place a call.

(8) Microphone permission: when you use two-way audio with a device, we need to record your voice on the phone and send it to the device.

(9) Wi-Fi SSID (network name): during device provisioning we obtain SSID and password from your phone’s Wi-Fi information, encrypt the password, and transmit it to the device so it can join your network. SSID and encrypted password are sent only to the device, not elsewhere.

8. Auto-start and associated start: this application does not use auto-start or associated start behavior.

9. Third-party SDK list

To develop products efficiently and provide diverse services, we integrate third-party software development kits (SDKs) in the App. An SDK is a collection of development tools used to build applications for specific software packages, frameworks, hardware platforms, or operating systems. SDKs we use include: those supporting quick registration or login; those for crash analysis and account security verification; device manufacturer and OS vendor SDKs; and third-party SDKs integrated for specific business functions. Processing of information by such providers is governed by their own privacy policies, not this Policy. We endeavor to review their qualifications and seek lawful and secure practices. We strongly recommend that you review any third party’s privacy policy before using its SDK or similar services. If you believe an SDK poses risk, stop using it and contact us promptly.
